Fundraising - Award
The Hilhi Girls Basketball program was awarded an Achievement Award in ’09-’10 basketball season for putting 525 books into the children’s classrooms in Laos because of a fundraiser they participated in. The girls basketball team fund raised $3,000 dollars for their program to pay for practice gear and other equipment. They did this by selling organic bags of coffee to the community and for every bag sold a book was donated the children in Laos while also helping the girls basketball program. I would like to thank Rally Coffee and Live Glocal for this opportunity to be a part of a wonderful fundraising opportunity.
